Mukhyamantri Shahari Swasthya Karyakram (MSSK) is an initiative of the Government of Chhattisgarh to address health needs of urban poor. It is a state sponsored flagship programme for implementation of Urban Health in 11 cities of Chhattisgarh. The MSSK will ensure quality health service delivery to slum dwellers through organization of services at community and institutional levels. The programme is managed by the Directorate of Health Services. It Invites application for the post of Technical Expert-Nutrition

Job Location:  Raipur, Chhattisgarh

Duties and Responsibilities:

• To work in Mukhyamantri  Shahari  Swasthya  Karyakram –a programme of the state of Chhattisgarh at Directorate of Health Services 

• To help identify slum clusters where nutritional and food related issues are prevalent and design strategies to address them for health of the urban poor.
• To facilitate capacity building of community level workers on nutrition related issues in urban areas.
• To facilitate functioning of Nutritional Rehabilitation Centres (NRC) in urban areas and monitor their regular performance.
• To facilitate organization of Under-5 clinics in urban areas for screening of malnourished children .
• Strengthening of nutritional component during Urban Health Nutrition and Sanitation Days (UHNSDs).
• To assess nutritional issues related with the functioning of outreach centres and health of pregnant women, lactating mothers, under five children along with adolescents in urban areas.
• To provide technical support to the Directorate of Health Services and other department like Department of Women & Child Development
